Meet the Сharming Radar Application Look and Updated Weekly Reports
In our ongoing commitment to providing a convenient tool for everyday use, we are excited to announce a complete
revamp of the UI/UX design of the Qrator.Radar web application.
Our team enjoyed working to create a more user-friendly interface, improved navigation, and better data visualization.
These updates aim to improve our users’ experience and simplify the processes of connectivity troubleshooting and network anomaly analysis.
Check out the improved design of the following sections:
1. The Overview
We have made a more convenient Overview dashboard with an emphasis on IP Connectivity metrics.
- Redesigned color schemes and element placement highlight good and bad metrics.
- A lot of tooltips have been added to the application. We hope it will be easier for you to understand the essence of the presented metrics.
- Two color schemes serve both early birds working during the day and late risers who prefer to work at night.
2. IP Connectivity
We've upgraded the IP Connectivity section: and redesigned the navigation by grouping IPv4 and IPv6 into one menu item, thereby eliminating duplication ;) Also, we have added an “All” tab where you can see the full picture of IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity on one page.
By the way, you can switch between IPv4, IPv6 and all IP types not only in the IP Connectivity section but also in the Security Issues section.
3. Connectivity History and RPKI ROA objects
One of the Qrator.Radar’s key features is its rich historical data. On our website you can get a history of changes: relationships between ASes, prefixes announcements and RPKI ROA/route objects for prefixes.
At RPKI ROA/route object History, we additionally mark the existing objects in green if the object has the status “Valid” for the specified AS, otherwise the record is marked in red, which means “Invalid”.
4. Presentation of tabular data in the "Security Issues" section
It was difficult to neatly present the security incident data in a tabular format because it had too many columns and was difficult to fit into a row.
But if the row still doesn't fit, we've learned to collapse the rows so that it's obvious to users that there is collapsed data.
5. Weekly Reports: fresh data and more BGP Security details
We have moved weekly reports to the same storage as the website. Now the report data fully matches the data on the website.
Also, significantly expanded the information about BGP security incidents that have occurred. Now it's not just grouped leaks, hijacks and bogons, we've expanded them to 9 different types:
