From June 25 to 29 Artyom Gavrichenkov, a Chief Technology Officer at Qrator Labs participated in two major international security events in different continents of the globe.

Artem Gavrichenkov reported on the topic "Memcache Amplification DDoS: Lessons Learned" at NANOG 73 conference which took place June 25-27, 2018 in Denver, Colorado. He spoke about causes and consequences, and what we learned from the rapid spread of memcached amplification DDoS attacks in spring of 2018. NANOG meetings (The North American Network Operators Group) is the most famous North American conference related to networking technologies and communications providers and ISPs coordination.

The speaker’s report aroused much interest among the participants which resulted in several practical discussions in the field of managing the way the Internet works. It is the third time Qrator Labs takes part in NANOG events, and we are planning further development with the community professionals influencing the global network architecture evolution.

The same week, Artyom Gavrichenkov together with our French partners from Pragma Security visited Hack in Paris, one of the most significant events of the French cybersecurity community. The event was held for the 8th time with more than 650 attendees from different countries. Our colleagues were there to meet various security experts, discuss the most critical issues in the field of cyberthreats protection, and strengthen relations with the global community.
